Lovecraft's condolences on the death of Mr. Harry; sorry to hear of the illness in her household (mentioning Watson Stains, Jr. and James Reed); hope "The Return" is accepted, seguing into the artificial nature of time, Zealia's forthcoming course with Uzzell (with an aside about Frank Belknap Long), and winter (with the effect that cold has on Lovecraft) on Christmas; Lovecraft done with his poetry revision, and working on a story for an associate of Ambrose Bierce (Adolphe de Castro).
