Abstract
Asking her to pardon blurs, as a kitten is playing with his fountain pen; Zealia's letter and manuscript arrived in Athol, Massachusetts (where he is visiting with W. Paul Cook) and editing a posthumous volume of poetry; Lovecraft received the check for "The Blue Foulard," and will begin work on the "Indian agent article" (assuming she wants him to revise that before "The Return"); on Lovecraft's trip to New Hampshire; glad to hear of Zealia's own trip, and her reading of Gustave Flaubert (encouraging her to read Salammbo); estimated wordcount of "The Unchaining"; Lovecraft will answer her questions in detail once he is back home (with a note on his "blind" Remington typewriter).
