Lovecraft's trip up from the south includes Washington, DC., Philadelphia, Germantown, Wissahickon, New York, and Ocean Grove, NJ with the Longs before returning to Providence; thanks for Toldridge's note and enclosures, on a new kitten and some illustrated books on England, brief note on Marvel Tales and Fantasy Fan, on an old Nipmuc dugout canoe at the local Historical Society, expecting a visit from James F. Morton, the publication of Maurice W. Moe's Doorways of Poetry, E. Hoffmann Price off to visit Clark Ashton Smith in California, Robert E. Howard visited the Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico, two new kittens in De Land and Barlow playing with trick photography.
