Howard has been too busy nursing his mother to write; Howard keeping up Breckinridge Elkins, and making Dime Sport, Cowboy Stories, and Complete Stories (the latter with an El Borak novelette); on German settlements in Texas, particularly Fredericksburg and New Braunfels, leading into discussion of liquor and beer in Fredericksburg sampled alongside his friend Lindsey Tyson.
