Abstract
Howard feels he owes Derleth a letter; hoping Derleth's book has sold well, enjoyed his story in the Fantasy Fan and looking forward to his story in Weird Tales; on the visit from E. Hoffmann Price; Sailor Steve Costigan appearing in Jack Dempsey's Fight Magazine and Breckinridge Elkins in Action Stories, with the suspension of Strange Detective and no luck with Super Detective killing Howard's market for such tales; Barney Ross took the welterweight title from Jimmy McLarnin, and other talk of boxing; prohibition ended in Cross Plains.
