Abstract
Howard had a good time down in Mission and Rio Grande City, but didn't go to Brownsville; on meeting a German priest of the Oblate order; on getting some Spanish and Benedictine wine; on finally selling to the Claytons ("People of the Dark" and "The Cairn on the Headland"); asking after the Junto poem anthology. Postscript on an Indian he met in San Antonio, with reference to Mahatama Gandhi and the Japanese invasion of Manchuria.
