Howard stopped into Brownwood briefly, but didn't visit; received a letter from Truett Vinson in Galveston, TX; Fight Stories gave Howard the cover for "The Iron Man", but changed the title and made some other mistakes in the printing, seguing into discussion of editors and action stories (and "The Night of the Wolf" being sent to Argosy); the poems "A Stirring of Green Leaves," "The Rhyme of the Viking Path," and "A Marching Song of Connacht."
