On the good time they had at Fort Worth; on Waco, TX (and Von Blon's bookstore); on Truett Vinson's way for women; on how you can't win at life; on trying to lose weight; inviting Preece over to Brownwood or Cross Plains; on a fight Howard had with another man; bruised hand making it hard to type properly; on a visit to a speakeasy in Cross Cut, picking up Tevis Clyde Smith and Truett Vinson along the way and discussing Howard's prophecy on the Tunney-Heeney bout (see 033-0066); on Howard's poem "The Harp of Alfred" and A. Leslie's poem "Cravetheen the Harper" in Weird Tales.
