FROM George Sterling
TO Clark Ashton Smith
24-Dec-1924

Abstract

Thanks for the Christmas greens; the "Telegraph Hill bunch" very much liked Smith's erotic poem "The Temptation" (comparing it to Keats); Sterling has heard nothing on his film scenario, none of his stories and few poems sell, but Albert M. Bender has sent a Christmas check (and says he had also sent checks to Smith, Coolbrith, and others); on marriage; Sterling did not see Andrew Dewing, nor cared to; Sterling not written much poetry lately. Enclosed: unidentified poem.
