Abstract

Thanks for the check, and enclosing a note for Mr. Lathrop; on Smith's mother in Oakland and San Francisco (where Robertson has sold out of Ebony and Crystal); Smith picking plums and dating a lady-friend; Weird Tales accepted two of Smith's poems: "Duality" ("The Garden of Evil") and "Moo-Dawn" ("The Red Moon"); Smith sent a copy of Ebony and Crystal to Benjamin de Casseres, who intends to review it in Arts and Decoration along with Sterling's Selected Poems; Smith glad to review the Selected Poems for the Auburn Journal; probably won't see Sterling before September. Postscript: on his stationary. Enclosed: "Change" and "A Valediction."
