Thanks and praise for the poems; "Don Juan Sings" sent to Ainslee's (but if they return it, he will send it to H. L. Mencken for the Smart Set); Smith has written one poem a day since the beginning of the month; Smith's mother on her feet again; Ebony and Crystal (particularly "A Psalm to the Best Beloved") has aroused local furor; enclosing a few verses. Enclosed: "Contradiction," "Dream," "On the Canyon-Side," "Semblance," "We Shall Meet," "The Witch with Eyes of Amber."
