Smith decides not to try the Henry Holt Co., and determined to print the book himself; praise for "The Twilight of the Grape," seguing into a party Smith attended with Andrew Dewing and Dr. Bauch in Loomis with much home-made wine; sorry to hear Louise "Jo" Hansen has gone away, and Smith fallen out with his latest lady-love; enclosing some poems. Enclosed: "The Motes" and "Satiety."
