FROM Clark Ashton Smith
TO George Sterling

Smith hasn't the cash to visit San Francisco and Dr. Albert Abrams' clinic; suggestion to try "The Lyric West" on the new Los Angeles magazine of poetry, which has accepted three of Smith's poems, including "To Omar"; on smoking cigarettes; Smith has written to verse, but encloses a prose-poem "The Litany of the Seven Kisses"; praise for Sterling's poems ("To the Moon"); sorry Stent stopped the remittance, and Mrs. Clark too, but Smith cannot help being immoral and irreligious. Enclosed: "The Litany of the Seven Kisses."
