Abstract
Glad to hear all is well with Smith, disparaging Robert Emmet Pendleton as a gossip, and assuring that Coolbrith had had words with the latter; glad "Desert Garden" was sold to Walter Adolphe Roberts' Ainslee's; Andrew Dewing suffering from tuberculosis; on the death of Joyce Kilmer and Alan Seeger; Sterling has done little work besides a photo-play, and cannot get to Auburn anytime soon; Robertson cannot afford to publish "Lilith" this year, and Sterling is offering it to Macmillan's; thanking Smith's mother for her letter; asking for Loveman's address.
