Abstract

Thanks for the poem ("Coldness") for Bohemia; Sterling wishes he could come to Auburn, but can't make it, and Dr. Abrams has just lost his wife and cannot make it either; on the weather (and visiting Jack London); thanks for Smith's comments on The Caged Eagle and Other Poems, which is a slow seller; Sterling written little, except a couple poems at London's, a movie scenario, and several love poems; Stella heading to Fresno for a week of professional dancing; on the the Jinks; Sterling may be asked to write the 1918 Bohemian Grove play; Sterling's mother and sisters sick, and hope Smith's parents' health has improved.
