Abstract
Thanks for the letter, and apologies; on Sterling's "The Passing of Bierce"; enclosing poems written in 1915; Smith relieved at postponing publication of his next book, seguing into answering Sterling's comments on unhappiness; on Smith's health; Smith and his father working on their shaft; asking if Loveman has sent any of his prose-poems; Smith's ode to Nora May French unfinished. Enclosed: "Coldness," "The Flight of Azrael," "Morning on an Eastern Sea," "The Mummy."
