Abstract
Snowing in New York; on Smith's offer to let Lafler visit; on "Psalm to the Desert"; on his life in New York (and intention to return to San Francisco in late April); Sterling had poems in American Magazine ("At the Last") and Delineator ("Henri"), and the Examiner paid for the ode, but the issue sold out before Sterling could see it; Hyatt asking about the orange culture in Florida for an enterprise.
