FROM George Sterling
TO Clark Ashton Smith
15-Dec-1914

Abstract

Apologies for not sending Sterling a copy of his last book; on reviews (mentioning the review in the Literary Digest by Joyce Kilmer); Sterling doesn't blame Smith for not reading magazines; telling Smith to "grin and bear it" to the dullness of life, and promising to make things interesting when he returns to California; answering Smith's comments on "Conspiracy"; on Augustin S. Macdonald's A Collection of Verse by California Poets from 1849 to 1915, which contains Smith's "Dream of Beauty"; on the cold in New York.
