Abstract

Sterling back in Carmel; sorry to hear about Smith's dispirited attitude and encourage him to keep working; Sterling having written nothing for eleven weeks, but is going to write a grove-play (The Flight) and get together another book (Beyond the Breakers and Other Poems); Sterling to try and pay a brief visit in March; Carrie Sterling is living at the Key Route Inn, and George feeling adrift with the divorce; a beautiful spring, despite flooding; Sterling sold some poems to the San Francisco Call and Town Talk.
