Thanks for "Shapes of Clay" (with mention of Ambrose Bierce); no news from Auburn; Smith sold a poem ("The Nereid") to The Yale Review, and is feeling like he might surpass "Nero"; the English Review rejected "Satan Unrepentant", and is trying it on the Atlantic Monthly; Smith continuing on with "The Titans Triumphant" (with reference to "The Titans in Tartarus"). Enclosed: "Dream-Mystery," "Echo of Memnon," "The Nereid."
