Abstract

Smith has sent the final proofs to Robertson (quoting Keats' "Ode on a Grecian Urn"); on the "Recent Poetry" column in Current Literature 53, No. 4; on Poetry and William Vaughn Moody's "I Am the Woman" and Grace Hazard Conkling's "Symphony of a Mexican Garden"; Smith has four acceptances to Poetry, but is paid only on publication; on a neighbor who has written books; reading Lafcadio Hearn (Gleanings in Buddha-Fields: Studies of Hand and Soul in the Far East) and William Watson (Lachrymae Musarum), with reference to Alfred, Lord Tennyson.
