Abstract
Apologies for not writing, due to the death of Smith's father and other factors; hope all is well with St. Clair and her husband Ray, and with their garden; explaining the difficulties with Weird Tales to Alberta Dixon, because Smith needs the money and editor Farnsworth Wright was fired and replaced by the editor of Short Stories (Dorothy McIlwraith); on a nunnery (Convent of the Sister of Mercy) being built nearby, citing Boccaccio; on Smith's art exhibition at Gumps in San Francisco, and the possibility of a visit. Postscript: More fun with regards to the nunnery.
