Abstract
Apologies for the delay in writing a letter, due to the death of Smith's father; on "The Hashish-Eater" manuscript and the sketches made for Samuel Loveman; Claire Beck wanting to print a selection of poems from Sandalwood, seguing into how Smith's illustrations are dependent on his inspiration; hope Barlow's eye trouble has abated, and on Smith's own eye troubles, with mention of Barlow's experiments with filming "The Outsider"; Smith's sculptures exhibited at Gumps in San Francisco, but poverty forcing Smith into hackwork for Marvel Science Stories, with Smith postulating new pulps like Spicy Marvel Stories and Snappy Wonder Stories, mentioning Henry Kuttner's "Hollywood on the Moon."
