Abstract
Apologies for being so long in replying to Derleth, with Smith unable to write to anyone (even H. P. Lovecraft) for months; Smith gives a brief account of his pulp sales (notably a revised "The Chain of Aforgomon" to Farnsworth Wright), his mother's illness, Gernsback paying back his arrears (but Weird Tales falling behind), and disparagement of the latest Weird Tales; Smith working on new art, including sculpting.
