Whitehead (with mention of The City of Dreadful Night); on Smith's proposed pamphlet (The Double Shadow and Other Stories) and the Auburn Journal; on Smith's latest work ("The Weaver in the Vault," "The Flower-Women," and The Infernal Star); apologies from David Lasser of Wonder Stories anent the editorial changes to "The Dweller in the Gulf"; on The Book of Dzyan and Theosophy (with mention of E. Hoffmann Price, Hyperborea, Poseidonis, etc.); on Lovecraft's revision-story and arrears from Wonder Stories and Strange Tales (the latter for "The Second Internment"); "The Third Episode of Vathek" submitted to The Golden Book; on the weather. Postscript: Bernard Austin Dwyer's tale arrived, and passed to E. Hoffmann Price.
