Abstract
On the demise of Amazing Stories; commiseration on their financial situations, and congratulations on Derleth's sales and O'Brien's anthology; on Smith's stories ("The Charnel God," "The Seed from the Sepulchre," "The Beast of Averoigne," "The White Sybil," and renaming "The Eidolon of the Blind" as "The Dweller in the Gulf" for Wonder Stories); Lovecraft says Smith's "The Gorgon" was mentioned in the O. Henry Memorial Award Prize Stories of 1932; asking if Derleth has read The Worm Ouroboros by E. R. Eddison.
