Abstract
On the editor Edward J. O'Brien and his anthologies, and the pulps as an outlet for fresh fiction (mentioning Weird Tales and Adventures); looking forwards to Lovecraft's new story; on Harry Bates' new pulp Strange Tales of Mystery and Terror; Farnsworth Wright returns "The Return of Helman Carnby" ("The Return of the Sorcerer") and "The Testament of Athammaus"; Smith writing science fiction out of economic necessity, with Hugo Gernsback taking "The Amazing Planet," and Smith's "The City of the Singing Flame" may be renamed as well; spring turning to summer, Smith to send on "The Testament of Athammaus."
