Praise for "The Statement of Randolph Carter"; asking for the loan of "The White Ape" ("Facts Concerning the Late Arthur Jermyn and his Family"), and "The Nameless City", Smith already has copies of "The Music of Erich Zann," "The Lurking Fear," "Dagon," "The Picture in the House" and "The Cats of Ulthar", praise for "The Picture in the House"; the address for The Strand magazine; Farnsworth Wright returned "The Tale of Satampra Zeiros," and Smith re-submitted "The Monster of the Prophecy"; Smith finished "The Metamorphosis of the World" ("The Metamorphosis of Earth") and is submitting it, sending Lovecraft "The Epiphany of Death" (inspired by "The Statement of Randolph Carter"), and "The Resurrection of the Rattle-Snake" can be returned; Smith glad Lovecraft liked the prose-poems, and looking forward to the "Fungi from Yuggoth"; on Smith's feeling of place; Donald Wandrei taking some post-graduate courses; on the weather; Smith working on "Marooned in Andromeda," and a number of possible titles for stories; on "The Satanist" ("The Devotee of Evil") and Robert Louis Stevenson's "Jekyll and Hyde"; on "The Ghoul from Mercury."
