Thanks for Lovecraft's praise of "The Tale of Satampra Zeiros", and praise for Frank Belknap Long's "Red Fetish"; on the scope of Lovecraft's revisions, and ideas for "The Planet of the Dead" and "From the Crypts of Memory"; "The Monster of the Prophecy" finished and submitted to Farnsworth Wright; on the weather in Auburn and New England; Smith writing an introduction to Shadows of Wings for his friend Susan Myra Gregory; Smith submitted "The Tale of Satampra Zeiros" to Amazing Stories; Smith comments on "The Vapor Intelligence" by Jack Barnette in Science Wonder Stories; on trying British magazines like The Strand; wishing Lovecraft a happy holiday, and mentioning he still takes out the manuscript of "Dagon" to read from time to time.
