Abstract
Glad to hear Lovecraft will be doing some more original writing, as Smith enjoyed "The Call of Cthulhu" and "The Dunwich Horror," and had written to Farnsworth Wright on Lovecraft's excellence; on Harvey Allen's Israfel: The Life and Times of Edgar Allan Poe and re-reading Poe; Wright accepted "The Venus of Azombeii" for Weird Tales, and enclosing a copy of "The Tale of Satampra Zeiros"; on Smith's latest project, "The Monster of the Prophecy"; criticism of Amazing Stories (with reference to Frank Belknap Long and Donald Wandrei); ask Lovecraft to write when he has time.
Postscript on the dry fall turning into a drought, and unusual atmospheric conditions.
