Abstract
Smith replying to Wandrei's letter after a month in Berkeley; Smith revising and re-typing his Baudelaire translations, has done seven new paintings and left three on display in an art-store in Oakland; best of luck with the publishers, Smith thought about sending Incantations to Pascal Covici, but decided not to; on Harry Clarke's illustrations in Edgar Allan Poe's Tales of Mystery and the Imagination; on his correspondence with Lovecraft and praise for "The Dunwich Horror"; brief praise for Frank Belknap Long's "The Space-Eaters."
