Abstract
On Wandrei's revised essay ("Emperor of Dreams"); Smith mailing Wandrei an experimental painting on black fabric, leading into a discussion of painting on fabric, and from there the difference between Eastern and Western art, ending with a mention of some artists to look for (Gustave Moreau, John Martin, Felicien Rops, Sidney Syme, Odilon Redon, and Albert Pinkham Ryder).
