Abstract

Thanks for the loan of the Book of Jade, and praise for it's poems, particularly "Sonnet of the Instruments of Death," "Sepulchral Life," "Grotesques," "Fragments," and "Ennui"; no certainty of Sandalwood being accepted by a publisher (and on "Reve Parisien" and Smith's other translations of Baudelaire); on contemporary imaginative poetry and fiction (citing Paul Eldridge's Vanitas, Lafcadio Hearn's Fantastics and Stray Leaves from Strange Literature, and Lord Dunsany's Book of Wonder and A Dreamer's Tales); on a new possible poetry collection to be title Incantations.
