Abstract
Smith not having much to write about; nothing from San Francisco booksellers on Ebony & Crystal, or letters of appreciation; Smith sending on "Dagon," written by Smith's correspondent H. P. Lovecraft, a friend of Samuel Loveman; Lovecraft's "The Lurking Fear" appearing in Home Brew (which Smith compares to The Whiz Bang!), with drawings commissioned for Smith - his first commercial art sale; Smith's father laid out with a bad back, Smith suffering eyestrain, and his cuckoldry on hold for the moment; James Duval Phelan sent Travel and Comment.
