FROM Clark Ashton Smith
TO George Kirk

Thanks for the books (including Gautier's Charles Baudelaire: His Life); Smith hoping to hear from Kirk and Samuel Loveman now that winter is over; a small local printer has agreed to bring out Ebony and Crystal in a small edition (bringing all of Smith's poetry into print except for the most daring erotica); poems sold to The London Mercury and The Lyric West, but Smith still poor and may have to pick fruit that summer.
