Glad to hear from Kirk, and Smith given up on selling his drawings; on Smith's visit to Sterling in San Francisco, with comments on Prohibition; Smith's poems under consideration by Houghton Mifflin, with Aureia Henry Reinhardt's recommendation; Smith wishes he could buy some of Kirk's books, if he had money, with mention of his week typing bills in a water-office; asking Sam Loveman to write.
