Abstract
On Smith's "The White Worm," on William Lumley and his claims on occultism (and how he believes Lovecraft & co. are recipients of genuine occult knowledge), Lovecraft relates a dream of cloaked men armed with ankhs chasing an inhuman thing across rooftops, which Robert Bloch was to attempt and turn into a story, though he never did. The same dream was told in a letter to Robert Bloch, and was used by J. Vernon Shea in his story "The Snouted Thing."
