Abstract
On Through the Gates of the Silver Key, recent and projected sales to Weird Tales (and Lovecraft's desire to produce serious work), on the mention of Afrasiab in "The Nameless City" (with reference to Edgar Allan Poe's Premature Burial and William Bedford's Vathek). Lengthy postscript or continuation dated 27 March: on Price's "The Return of Balkis," seguing into an essay on storytelling (including as an example a farcical parody of Seabury Quinn's Jules de Grandin tales) especially with regards to action and weird fiction.
