Lovecraft visiting the Longs in New York, notes on Toldridge's poetry, on sonnet competitions and Simon & Schuster asking Lovecraft to submit a novel, on sestettes in sonnets, on public demand for poetry, continuing his trip from New York to Kingston to visit Bernard Austin Dwyer, on the beauty of Charleston, SC, and of Richmond, VA - particularly Maymont Gardens (which reminds him of The Gardens of Yin).
