4-Nov-1927

Abstract

Lovecraft writes on his enthusiasm for Rome and Roman Britain, and recounts a lengthy dream where he was a Roman soldier and encountered a nameless horror, and a strange dark folk who worshiped a deity he called Magnum Innominandum. The same dream is given in a letter to Frank Belknap Long and a letter to Donald Wandrei.

Date is given as 4 November 1927 in The H. P. Lovecraft Dream Book and November 1927 elsewhere.
