Abstract
Lovecraft on the quality of his early fiction and current ideas (including the never-materialized novel The Club of the Seven Dreamers), a brief note on Hawthorne, on his poetry and his nature (love of the strange and fantastic, love of abstract truth and scientific logic, love of the ancient and permanent), on his issues with Sunday school and agnosticism, on the emptiness and impermanence of success in life.
