Abstract
An examination of the pseudo-mythology linking much of Lovecraft's fiction; divided into The Necronomicon, Nyarlathotep, The Ghoul-Changeling, Ghosts and Avatars, and Closing Notes on Influences on H.P.L.. Originally five separate articles, integrated and expanded into a single essay. First published in Howard Phillips Lovecraft: Memoirs, Critiques, and Bibliographies (1955), later revised and expanded in HPL (1971) but retained the same title.
