Abstract
An examination of Lovecraft's relationship with the various Munsey publications, particularly how much of these early pulps he read, how many letters he had published in their pages, and how his opinion of them changed over time. Originally written as the introduction to H. P. Lovecraft in the Argosy, this essay was later retitled and included in Primal Sources.
