Abstract
A catalogue of all the real and fictional rare and occult works in H. P. Lovecraft's published fiction and letters, with historical and bibliographical notes on the real volumes and literary notes and quotations on the false ones. Originally appeared as a three-part article in the March, May, and September 1956 issues of the Inside and Science Fiction Advertiser; the essay was later slightly revised and published by Arkham House in The Shuttered Room (1959), and later annotated and expanded with an addendum by Robert M. Price and S. T. Joshi in Discovering H. P. Lovecraft (2001).
