Abstract
An analysis of the growth and the development of cosmicism in H. P. Lovecraft's fiction, the characteristic "Lovecraftian" feel which Schultz finds only apparent in his later fiction. Schultz argues this development comes from changes in Lovecraft's personality, the point of view in his stories, the subject matter of his stories, and in his writing style—and cites in particular the growth and treatment of Lovecraft's "antimythology."
